The Dress of the Year is an annual fashion award run by the Fashion Museum (previously known as Museum of Costume) in Bath, Somerset, England. The award was first given in 1963 to the Grey wool 'Rex Harrison' pinafore dress & cream blouse by the designers Mary Quant, Reed Crawford, Anello & Davide. Since then, every year, the Fashion Museum has asked a fashion journalist to select an outfit or an item that best represents the most important new ideas in contemporary fashion.
